Aww. A sweet, tiny story

Lovely, quiet, intense.  I felt like I was just getting a small glimpse into something much larger.  Really dug the watercolor sprites and backgrounds.

Aww, this is so lovely! I enjoyed the pacing of story, and your art is beautiful! The emoji for the main character is also super adorable and the backgrounds, oh my. Your watercolor painting style really fits the tender tone of this VN.

The two characters are so adorable and I love how you portray their relationship. I like how despite their circumstances you didn't make it overly dramatic and instead feel so beautifully poignant--just the right amount! I wish them both a very Please Be Together For As Long As They Can ;_; Thank you for sharing!

Absolutely cozy and darling...! I adore both characters and wish only that I could spend more time with each of them. The combination of practical and digital art is a favorite for me (reassuring to see it done so very well, as it's a combo I myself rely on!) and it gave it an incredibly sweet, organic feeling of homecoming and intimacy when combined with the typewriter font of the text. A lovely, well-thought-out Halloween treat!

I really liked the colors, the character designs and the interface.
You did a great job.
Keep it up!

Love the artstyle, point blank. The watercolor/marker/whatever effect on paper looks so good! Moreover, it really suits the tone of the story.

The atmosphere was impeccable. It made me feel something... bittersweet. Hope in something that feels hopeless. I wish the two of them all the happiness. You made me care for both of them in such a short time. <3

Oh gosh, I absolutely love it!

Amazing art. Such a tender and melancholy story and really made me feel for the main character.

Thank you for making this game!

If you couldn't already tell by my name, I'm a fan of most things melancholy x3 it's one of those moods that generally always resonates with me, and it absolutely does here!

I thought the entire thing was very tender and caring :3 I adore your art style! I don't really know technical terms for art and stuff because, sadly, I can't draw to save my life >.< but it looks very soft? And that lends perfectly to the tone of the story ^-^

Awww, this is so cute!!! It's so sweet and fluffy!

I really enjoyed this one. It's a nice short experience which conveys the relationship between the two main characters perfectly without using any superfluous words. The storytelling is sweet, and the gentle piano track that plays throughout works really well with the type of story this is.

Also, I love your art! The washed out watercolour style works well with how gentle and nostalgic the story feels, and the character designs are very nice!
That forest background in particular looks really, really nice. The colours are so pretty!

You did a great job; tysm for making this!

Thank you for playing! It's really nice to hear such high praise for my art and storytelling ;_;

I. Love. Your. Art.

Again. I love it. The lenght of the novel is perfectly right for both, a solo work and this level of art. The character designs, and the little details about the lore we know nothing about are just perfect. The music was well chosen, and the vibe... Ah, the vibe, you can literally touch the vibe in the air. So tangible and magical!

Narratively wise? Lovely, a glimpse into someone's life, with their problems but also their solutions, their concerns but also their happy moments. Great novel!

Thank you so much for this comment! I really like how you described the narrative ;_;

I generally write very short stories, so I stuck with a length that was comfortable for me in order to keep it achievable to make within the jam period. I'm glad it worked out well :D

Thank you for appreciating the art and character designs as well ;_; I think I almost spent more time on developing the visual style of the game than on the actual drawings, but I'm pretty happy with the result, thankfully.

What a beautiful story! The music in this is gorgeous, and the writing is so impactful and effective for such a short game. Very nicely done!

Thank you! I can't really take credit for the music since I used freely available royalty-free music, but I'm glad I seem to have picked out something fitting.

This was so moving <3 The background art in particular was so gorgeous, I love seeing watercolours in a game.  Nice writing, it packs an emotional punch while being very short.

I'm really glad you think so! I was worried the story wouldn't feel emotionally impactful due to the short length and having relatively little space to establish the characters and their relationship. And I'm happy you like the backgrounds too since I have relatively little experience with drawings BGs.

This was a lovely short story about a friend helping you through difficulties outside your control. It should only take a few minutes and has no branching paths, so I recommend giving it a look.

Who amongst us can't relate to a cute boy who drains the life from everything he touches?
